Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 he shall roast at a flaming fire 3 and also his wife who carries the fuel, 4 upon her neck a rope of palm-fibre. 5

God the Almighty always says the truth.
