O Children of Israel! Remember My Favour which I bestowed upon you, and fulfill (your obligations to) My Covenant (with you) so that I fulfill (My Obligations to) your covenant (with Me), and fear none but Me. 40 And believe in what I have sent down confirming that which is [already] with you, and be not the first to disbelieve in it. And do not exchange My signs for a small price, and fear [only] Me. 41 And do not confound the truth with vanity, and do not conceal the truth wittingly. 42 Be steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax (zakat) and bow down in worship with those who do the same. 43 ۞ Enjoin you Al-Birr (piety and righteousness and each and every act of obedience to Allah) on the people and you forget (to practise it) yourselves, while you recite the Scripture [the Taurat (Torah)]! Have you then no sense? 44 And seek help through patience and prayer, and indeed, it is difficult except for the humbly submissive [to Allah] 45 (They are those) who are certain that they are going to meet their Lord, and that unto Him they are going to return. 46
