T H (Taa Haa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Qur'an to you that you should be burdened, 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 A revelation from He who created the earth and highest heavens, 4 The Beneficent God is dominant over the Throne (of the realm). 5 To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth, and whatever lies in between them, and all that lies under the ground. 6 And if thou speakest aloud, then lo! He knoweth the secret (thought) and (that which is yet) more hidden. 7 Allah, there is no god except He. To Him belong the most Beautiful Names. 8 Hast thou received the story of Moses? 9 When he saw a fire he said to his family: "You wait here. I have seen a fire. I may haply be able to bring an ember from it, or find direction by the fire." 10 When he came near the fire he was called, "Moses, 11 I am your Lord. Take off your shoes, for you are in Towa, the sacred valley. 12 I Myself have chosen you; therefore, give ear to what is revealed. 13 “Indeed it is Me, Allah – there is no God except I – therefore worship Me and keep the prayer established for My remembrance.” 14 "Behold, [although] I have willed to keep it hidden, the Last Hour is bound to come, so that every human being may be recompensed in accordance with what he strove for [in life]. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 "What do you have in your right hand, Moses?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 Said He: "Throw it down, O Moses!" 19 He cast it down, and behold! It was a snake, moving quickly. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 Now, put your hand under your armpit. It shall come out white, without evil, a second sign. 22 That We may show you of Our greater signs: 23 Go to Firon, surely he has exceeded all limits. 24
