He said: O my Lord! Expand my breast for me, 25 and make my task easy for me, 26 Loosen the knot in my tongue, 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 “And appoint for me a viceroy from among my family.” 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 by him confirm my strength, 31 and associate him with me in my task. 32 so that we may glorify 33 And much remember Thee. 34 You are Well Aware of our situation." 35 Allah said: "You are granted your request, O Musa (Moses)! 36 And indeed, another time, already We have shown thee favour, 37 "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. 38 'Put him in a wooden box and cast it in the river. The river will cast it on the bank. An enemy of Ours, and his, will retrieve it.' We bestowed Our love on you that you may be reared under Our eyes. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 "Go, thou and thy brother, with My Signs, and slacken not, either of you, in keeping Me in remembrance. 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 Speak to him with gentle words; perhaps he will ponder or fear' 44 'O our Lord,' said Moses and Aaron, 'truly we fear he may exceed against us, or wax insolent.' 45 He said: "Fear not: for I am with you: I hear and see (everything). 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 'Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers, etc.], and turns away.'(from the truth and obedience of Allah)" 48 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Who then, O Musa (Moses), is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said: Our Lord is He Who gave to everything its creation, then guided it (to its goal). 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 [Moses] said, "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a record. My Lord neither errs nor forgets." 52 [It is He] who has made for you the earth as a bed [spread out] and inserted therein for you roadways and sent down from the sky, rain and produced thereby categories of various plants. 53 Do you eat, and pasture your cattle! Surely in that are signs for men possessing reason. 54
