Al-Burooj
The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
22 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Sun (Al-Shams) before The Fig (Al-Teen)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By heaven of the constellations, 1 By the promised Day (of Judgment); 2 And by the witness and that whereunto he beareth testimony, 3 Cursed be the makers of the pit, 4 by a burning fire 5 when they were seated over it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And they persecuted them for naught save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Praiseworthy 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Those who persecute the believers, men and women, and then have not repented, there awaits them the chastisement of Gehenna, and there awaits them the chastisement of the burning. 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Surely thy Lord's assault is terrible. 12 Behold, it is He who creates [man] in the first instance, and He [it is who] will bring him forth anew. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 Lord of the Throne of Glory, 15 The Doer of whatever He wants. 16 Has the story of the armies reached you, 17 of Pharaoh and of Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 although Allah surrounds them. 20 But this is an honored Qur'an 21 (Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)! 22
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
