The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the snorting chargers, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And by oath of those who raid at dawn. 3 And raise the dust in clouds the while, 4 dividing the gathering. 5 That man is ungrateful to his Lord 6 And to that fact he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And verily, he is violent in the love of wealth. 8 ۞ Does he not know when the contents of the graves are laid bare 9 And what is in the breasts is made apparent? 10 surely on that day their Lord shall be aware of them! 11
