In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Ta'. Sin. Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes things clear. 2 Possibly you may risk your life (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) by grieving, because they did not believe. 3 If We will, We could send down to them from the heaven a sign, to which they would bend their necks in humility. 4 And there cometh not unto them any fresh admonition from the Compassionate but they are wont to be therefrom backsliders. 5 thus, indeed, have they given the lie (to this message as well). But [in time] they will come to understand what it was that they were wont to deride! 6 Do they not look at the earth,- how many noble things of all kinds We have produced therein? 7 Surely, in this there is a sign yet most of them do not believe. 8 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 9

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
