Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Nay, and by the moon, 32 And the night when it withdraweth 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 Indeed hell is one of the greatest entities. 35 A warning unto humankind 36 alike to every one of you, who want to go forward or hang back. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 Save those who will stand on the right hand. 39 [Who will be] in gardens, questioning each other 40 Concerning the guilty: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say, "We were not of those who prayed, 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 And we have been belying the Day of Requital. 46 "Until there came to us (the Hour) that is certain." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 What is the matter with people that they are turning away from this Exhortation, 49 As if they were asses taking fright 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 Let anyone who seeks guidance do so. 55 No one will seek guidance unless God wills it. He alone is worthy of being feared and He is the Source of Forgiveness. 56

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
