The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the heavens with constellations, 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and [of] Him who witnesses [all,] and [of] that unto which witness is borne [by Him]! 3 Accursed be the People of the Ditch! 4 The people of the fuelled blazing fire. 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they, to what they were doing against the believers, were witnesses. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 (But) for those who believe and do good works, for them there are Gardens underneath which rivers flow that is the Great Victory! 11 Indeed the seizure of your Lord is very severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He is the Oft-Forgiving, Full of Loving-Kindness, 14 Lord of the Throne, the Glorious, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 Has the story reached thee, of the forces- 17 [Those of] Pharaoh and Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 and God is behind them, encompassing. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 upon an imperishable tablet [inscribed]. 22
