The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 It is the piercing star - 3 There is not a soul that does not have a guardian over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 That is issued from between the backs and the ribs. 7 Surely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)! 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 and he shall have no strength, no helper. 10 By the sky with its returning rain, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 Lo! this (Qur'an) is a conclusive word, 13 And it is not amusement. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 Let, then, the deniers of the truth have their will: let them have their will for a little while. 17
