In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Alif Lam Mim. 1 This Book whereof there is no doubt, is a guidance unto the God-fearing. 2 Who believe in the Unknown and fulfil their devotional obligations, and spend in charity of what We have given them; 3 And who believe in that which has been bestowed from on high upon thee, [O Prophet,] as well as in that which was bestowed before thy time: for it is they who in their innermost are certain of the life to come! 4 It is the pious who follow the guidance of their Lord and gain lasting happiness. 5 Surely those who disbelieve, it being alike to them whether you warn them, or do not warn them, will not believe. 6 Allah hath set a seal upon their hearts and upon their hearing, and over their sights is a covering; and unto them shall be a torment mighty. 7
