The Spider (Al-Ankaboot)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 DO MEN THINK that on their [mere] saying, "We have attained to faith", they will be left to themselves, and will not be put to a test? 2 And We indeed tested those who were before them. And Allah will certainly make (it) known (the truth of) those who are true, and will certainly make (it) known (the falsehood of) those who are liars, (although Allah knows all that before putting them to test). 3 Or do they reckon, those who do evil deeds, that they will outstrip Us? Ill they judge! 4 Whoso looketh forward to the meeting with Allah (let him know that) Allah's reckoning is surely nigh, and He is the Hearer, the Knower. 5 He who strives, strives for himself. Allah is the Rich, independent of the worlds. 6 And as for those who believe and do good works, We shall remit from them their evil deeds and shall repay them the best that they did. 7 We have enjoined on man to be good to his parents; but if they try to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, then do not obey them. You have to come back to Us, when I will tell you what you used to do. 8 We shall surely admit those who believe and do good deeds to the company of the righteous. 9 And some people say, “We believe in Allah” – so if they are afflicted with some adversity in Allah’s way, they consider the chaos created by men as the punishment from Allah; and if the help comes from your Lord, they will surely say, “Indeed we were with you”; does not Allah well know what is in the hearts of the entire creation? 10 Most certainly God will mark out those who believe and mark out those who are hypocrites. 11 And the Unbelievers say to those who believe: "Follow our path, and we will bear (the consequences) of your faults." Never in the least will they bear their faults: in fact they are liars! 12 They shall certainly carry their loads, and other loads besides their loads, and on the Day of Resurrection, they shall be questioned about what they forged. 13
