۞ I swear by the setting of the stars 75 And that is indeed a mighty adjuration if ye but knew,- 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 none but the purified shall touch, 79 A revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Then is it to this statement that you are indifferent 81 And to give (it) the lie you make your means of subsistence. 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 We are closer to him than you, but you cannot see. 85 Why then, if ye are not in bondage (unto Us), 86 Can you not bring him back? (Answer) if you are truthful 87 Then if he be of the broughtnigh. 88 (There is for him) Rest and Satisfaction, and a Garden of Delights. 89 And if one happens to be of those who have attained to righteousness, 90 Then there is safety and peace (from the Punishment of Allah) for (you as you are from) those on the Right Hand. 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefor (O Muhammad) praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 96
