Al-Sharrhh

Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

۞ Have We not opened forth for thee thy breast? 1 and lift from thee thy burden, 2 the burden that weighed down thy back? 3 And raised high your fame? 4 So indeed with hardship is ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when you have finished (from your occupation), then stand up for Allah's worship (i.e. stand up for prayer). 7 And incline towards your Lord. 8

God the Almighty always says the truth.
