Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
