The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of those who harshly pull out the soul. (Of the disbeliever) 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 by those that swim serenely 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 And then they manage the affair, 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 And there will follow it the next blast. 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 after we have become bones and dust?" 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you heard the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in the holy valley, Towa: 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 that I may direct you to your Lord and then you hold Him in awe?'” 19 And he showed him the greatest sign, 20 but he cried lies, and rebelled, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 Then he collected (his men) and made a proclamation, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 but God seized him and meted out to him the chastisement of both the next world and the present: 25 surely there is in this a lesson for the God-fearing. 26
