The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The command of Allah is arriving soon, therefore do not seek to hasten it; Purity and Supremacy are to Him, above all the partners (they ascribe). 1 He sends down this spirit (of prophecy) by His command through His angels on any of His servants whom He wills, (directing them): "Warn people that there is no deity but Me; so hold Me alone in fear." 2 He created the heavens and the earth with the truth; Supreme is He above their ascribing of partners (to Him). 3 He hath created man from a drop, and Lo! he is a disputer open. 4 He created the cattle from whom you get warm clothing and (other) advantages, and some you eat. 5 And for you in them is [the enjoyment of] beauty when you bring them in [for the evening] and when you send them out [to pasture]. 6 They carry your burdens to lands so distant you could not have reached without much hardship. Indeed your Lord is compassionate and kind. 7 And (He has created) horses, mules, and donkeys, for you to ride and use for show; and He has created (other) things of which ye have no knowledge. 8 And upon Allah is the responsibility to explain the Straight Path (i.e. Islamic Monotheism for mankind i.e. to show them legal and illegal, good and evil things, etc. so, whosoever accepts the guidance, it will be for his own benefit and whosoever goes astray, it will be for his own destruction), but there are ways that turn aside (such as Paganism, Judaism, Christianity, etc.). And had He willed, He would have guided you all (mankind). 9
