The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ When the forthcoming event does occur. 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 (it will) abase (some) and exalt (others). 3 When the earth will tremble, shivering. 4 And the mountains shall be crumbled to atoms, 5 so that they become as scattered dust 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 Then the companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 8 And the People on the Left: and how miserable will be the People on the Left! 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In gardens of delight; 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 and a lesser number from the later generations. 14 On couches in wrought with gold. 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 immortal youths going round about them 17 Carrying bowls and pitchers – and cups filled with wine flowing before them. 18 Their heads shall not ache with it, nor shall they lose their senses. 19 And with fruit from that which they choose. 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 And [for them are] fair women with large, [beautiful] eyes, 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 A reward for what they used to do. 24 They will not hear therein any vain or sinful talk, 25 but only the saying: 'Peace, Peace' 26 And the companions of the right hand; how happy are the companions of the right hand! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 And plantains laden with fruit. 29 and continuous shade, 30 near to flowing water 31 and abundant fruit, 32 Neither ending nor forbidden. 33 and upraised couches. 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 and made them virgins, 36 Beloved (by nature), equal in age,- 37 For those of the right hand. 38

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
