The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Magnify the Name of thy Lord the Most High 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 Who determined and guided them, 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 Then made it dry and dark. 5 We shall make thee read (O Muhammad) so that thou shalt not forget 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 So render good counsel if good counsel will avail. 9 He who fears (Allah) shall heed it, 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 He who shall roast into the Great Fire, 12 wherein he will neither die nor remain alive. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 And who mentioned the name of his Lord, then offered prayer. 15 Nay, you prefer the life of this world; 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Lo! This is in the former scrolls. 18 the Scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
