3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And Nuh did certainly call upon Us, and most excellent answerer of prayer are We. 75 We delivered him and his household from the great calamity; 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace be upon Noah among all the nations. 79 Thus do We reward all those who do good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 We then drowned the others. 82 ۞ And most surely Ibrahim followed his way. 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the whole Universe?” 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 Then he turned aside to their gods secretly and said: What! do you not eat? 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking (them) with (his) right hand. 93 So the disbelievers came running towards him. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 And they intended for him a plan, but We made them the most debased. 98 He said: "I will go to my Lord! He will surely guide me! 99 (And he prayed:) "O Lord, grant me a righteous son." 100 So We gave him good tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 We called unto him, 'Abraham, 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 Most surely this is a manifest trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a momentous sacrifice: 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus, do We reward the righteous ones. 110 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
