Messengers! Partake of the things that are clean, and act righteously. I know well all that you do. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 Wherefore leave thou them in their bewilderment for a season. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Verily, [only] they who stand in reverent awe of their Sustainer, 57 And those who believe in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of their Lord, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 And those who give whatsoever they give, while their hearts are anxious that unto their Lord they are to be returners. 60 It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein. 61 And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly. 62 Nay, their hearts are lost in ignorance of all this; and their deeds too vary from the way (mentioned above). They will persist in these deeds 63 Until when We lay hold of the luxuriant ones of them with the torment, and lo! then they are imploring! 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 In arrogance; talking nonsense about the Quran, and left him like one telling fables by night. 67 Why did they not think over the message? Or has something come to them which had not come to their fathers? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Do they say he is mad! No, he came to them with the truth, but most of them hate the truth. 70 If the Truth had been in accord with their desires, truly the heavens and the earth, and all beings therein would have been in confusion and corruption! Nay, We have sent them their admonition, but they turn away from their admonition. 71 Or dost thou ask of them (O Muhammad) any tribute? But the bounty of thy Lord is better, for He is Best of all who make provision. 72 And most surely you invite them to a right way. 73 And most surely those who do not believe in the hereafter are deviating from the way. 74 ۞ And though We have mercy on them We may remove whatsoever of hurt is with them, surely they would persist in their exorbitance, wandering perplexed. 75 And indeed We grasped them with punishment, so neither did they submit themselves to their Lord, nor do they cry humbly. 76 Until when We open upon them a door of severe chastisement, lo! they are in despair at it. 77
