Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 When the Stars are scattered; 2 When the seas are poured forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 the soul shall know what it has done, the former and the latter. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 in whatever form He pleased? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 But verily over you (are appointed angels) to protect you,- 10 Honorable recorders, 11 who know of all that you do. 12 Indeed, the righteous will be in pleasure, 13 And most surely the wicked are in burning fire, 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 On that day, no soul will be of any benefit to any other soul. On that day, all affairs will be in the hands of God. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
