The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the Glorious Morning Light, 1 And by the night when it is still (or darkens); 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 And the Hereafter is better for you than the first [life]. 4 Verily your Lord will soon give you so amply that you will be well-pleased. 5 Found He not thee an orphan, so He sheltered thee? 6 And He found you unaware (of the Quran, its legal laws, and Prophethood, etc.) and guided you? 7 Did He not find you poor and enrich you? 8 Therefore, be not harsh with the orphan; 9 And repulse not the beggar; 10 And proclaim the Grace of your Lord (i.e. the Prophethood and all other Graces). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
