At length when the messengers arrived among the adherents of Lut, 61 He said: "Verily! You are people unknown to me." 62 They said: "Nay, we have brought to you that concerning which they have been in doubt. 63 "Yet we bring to you the truth, and we are truthful. 64 Leave the town with your family sometime during the night. Walk behind them and let no one turn around. Proceed as you are commanded." 65 And We decreed for him that commandment, that the last remnant of those should be cut off in the morning. 66 The people of the town rejoicingly 67 [Lot] said, "Indeed, these are my guests, so do not shame me. 68 And guard against (the punishment of) Allah and do not put me to shame. 69 They said, “Had we not forbidden you from meddling in the affairs of anyone?” 70 Lot exclaimed in exasperation: "If you are bent on doing something, then here are my daughters." 71 Verily by your life they were utterly confused in their (lustful) drunkenness. 72 and the Cry seized them at the sunrise, 73 and turned the land upside down, and rained down stones of baked clay. 74 Behold! in this are Signs for those who by tokens do understand. 75 for, behold, those [towns] stood by a road that still exists. 76 surely in this there is a sign for those who believe. 77 And the dwellers in the wood [i.e. the people of Madyan (Midian) to whom Prophet Shu'aib was sent by Allah), were also Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doers, etc.). 78 So We took vengeance on them. Both are still there on the highway, plain for all to see. 79

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
