The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 who avoid impious talks, 3 And they who are observant of zakah 4 who guard their privates, 5 save from their wives and what their right hands own then being not blameworthy 6 But whoso craveth beyond that, such are transgressors - 7 And those who are keepers of their trusts and their covenant, 8 and who guard their prayers [from all worldly intent]. 9 Those are the inheritors 10 who will inherit Paradise; they shall live there for ever. 11 NOW, INDEED, We create man out of the essence of clay, 12 then We placed him as a drop of fluid in a safe place, 13 Then We made the seed a clot, then We made the clot a lump of flesh, then We made (in) the lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, then We caused it to grow into another creation, so blessed be Allah, the best of the creators. 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 and you will be brought back to life again on the Day of Resurrection. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We produce for you therewith gardens of date-palms and grapes, wherein is much fruit for you and whereof ye eat; 19 And a tree (olive) that springs forth from Mount Sinai, that grows oil, and (it is a) relish for the eaters. 20 And indeed there is also a lesson for you in cattle. We provide you with drink out of what they have in their bellies; and you have many other benefits in them: you eat of them, 21 And upon them and on ships you are carried. 22
