Hizb 46

And lo! Jonah verily was of those sent (to warn) 139 He ran away to the laden ship, 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 And had he not been of those who exalt Allah, 143 He would have indeed remained inside its belly (the fish) till the Day of Resurrection. 144 ۞ But We cast him forth on the naked shore in a state of sickness, 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 And they believed; so We permitted them to enjoy (their life) for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Did We create the angels females, to which they were witnesses? 150 No indeed! It is one of their fabrications when they say: 151 " Allah has begotten," and indeed, they are liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters over sons? 153 What is the matter with you? How do you decide? 154 “So do you not ponder?” 155 Do you have clear authority? 156 Then produce your writ, if ye are truthful. 157 They link Him with jinns by lineage, yet the jinns know they will be brought before Him. 158 Exalted is Allah above what they describe, 159 Except the chosen servants of Allah [who do not share in that sin]. 160 So surely you and what you worship, 161 Ye cannot excite (anyone) against Him. 162 except for he who shall roast in Hell. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 Lo! we, even we are they who set the ranks, 165 "And we are verily those who declare (Allah's) glory!" 166 AND, INDEED, they [who deny the truth] have always been wont to say, 167 "If we had a reminder as had the men of old (before the coming of Prophet Muhammad SAW as a Messenger of Allah). 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 But (now) they disbelieve in it, so they will come to know. 170 Already Our Word has preceded to Our servants, the Envoys; 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that Our host, they verily would be the victors. 173 So turn thou from them for a while, 174 And watch, for they will (soon) see. 175 Then for Our punishment are they impatient? 176 But when it cometh home to them, then it will be a hapless morn for those who have been warned. 177 And turn away from them till a time 178 And watch (how they fare) and they soon shall see (how thou farest)! 179 Your Lord, the Lord of Honor, is too exalted to be considered as they describe Him. 180 And peace be on the apostles. 181 And all praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
