Al-A'alaa
The All High (Al-A'alaa)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Rolling (Al-Takweer) before The Night (Al-Layl)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ (Muhammad), glorify the Name of your lord, the Most High, 1 who created all things and gave them due proportions, 2 Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance; 3 And Who brings forth herbage, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 We shall make you recite (the Qur'an) so that you will not forget it, 6 Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden. 7 We shall facilitate for you the Easy Way. 8 Therefor remind (men), for of use is the reminder. 9 The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah): 10 But the most hapless will flout it, 11 he who [in the life to come] shall have to endure the great fire 12 Then therein he shall neither live nor die. 13 But those will prosper who purify themselves, 14 and mentions the Name of his Lord, and prays. 15 But ye prefer the life of this world, 16 although the Hereafter is better and more lasting. 17 Verily! This is in the former Scriptures, 18 Writs of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
