The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the night when it covers 1 by the day when it appears radiant, 2 And the creating of the male and the female, 3 your striving is indeed to different ends! 4 As for he who gives and fears Allah 5 And believes in Al-Husna. 6 We will facilitate for him the easy end. 7 But for those who are niggardly, horde their wealth, 8 and cries lies to the reward most fair, 9 Unto him therefore We shall Indeed make easy the path to hardship. 10 and what will his wealth avail him when he goes down [to his grave]? 11 Verify on us is the guidance 12 And truly, unto Us (belong) the last (Hereafter) and the first (this world). 13 Therefor have I warned you of the flaming Fire 14 None will [enter to] burn therein except the most wretched one. 15 who rejected the Truth, calling it falsehood and turned his back on it. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 He who gives his wealth to be purified, 18 not as payment for any favours that he received, 19 only seeking the Face of his Lord the Most High; 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
