Did the unbelievers (who do not accept the teaching of the Prophet) not realize that the heavens and the earth were one solid mass, then We tore them apart, and We made every living being out of water? Will they, then, not believe (that We created all this)? 30 We placed firm mountains on earth lest it would shake them away. We made wide roads for them so that they might have the right guidance. 31 And we have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they turn away from its portents. 32 and [fail to see that] it is He who has created the night and the day and the sun and the moon - all of them floating through space! 33 And We granted not to any human being immortality before you (O Muhammad SAW), then if you die, would they live forever? 34 Every soul is going to taste of death, and We shall prove you with evil and good as a temptation; and unto Us ye shall be returned. 35 When the unbelievers see you, they take you only for mockery, saying: 'Is this he who talks about your gods' While they are unbelievers in the Remembrance of the Merciful. 36 Man is a creature of haste: soon (enough) will I show you My Signs; then ye will not ask Me to hasten them! 37 They ask, "When will this promise be fulfilled, if what you say be true?" 38 If the unbelievers but knew when that they shall not ward off the Fire from their faces nor from their backs, neither shall they be helped! 39 It will come upon them unawares confounding them, and they will not be able to keep it back, nor will they be given respite. 40 Other messengers have been mocked before you, but those who scoffed were overwhelmed by the very thing they had mocked. 41
