۞ “Gather all the unjust persons and their spouses, and all that they used to worship!” – 22 Beside Allah, and lead them on to the path of the Flaming Fire. 23 And stop them; indeed, they are to be questioned." 24 “What is the matter with you, that you do not help one another?” 25 Nay! on that day they shall be submissive. 26 and advance one upon another, asking each other questions. 27 They will say, "Indeed, you used to come at us from the right." 28 They will answer, “You yourselves did not have faith!” 29 We had no power over you, but ye were wayward folk. 30 So on us hath been justified the sentence of our Lord: verily we are to taste. 31 We seduced you astray; verily we were ourselves the seduced ones. 32 And verily, on that Day they all will share in their common suffering. 33 This is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Truly, when it was said to them: La ilaha ill-Allah "(none has the right to be worshipped but Allah)," they puffed themselves up with pride (i.e. denied it). 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Not in the least. He has brought the truth and confirmed the other messengers. 37 You will indeed taste a painful punishment, 38 and be rewarded only according to your deeds." 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 there is waiting for them a known provision; 41 Fruits! And they shall be honoured. 42 (They will live) in the bountiful gardens, 43 Facing one another on thrones. 44 a goblet from a spring shall be passed round to them 45 White, a pleasure unto the drinkers. 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 And with them shall be those who restrain the eyes, having beautiful eyes; 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 Then one turned to the other in an enquiry. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” – 51 'Do you believe in the Day of Judgment? 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 Then, he will look and see him in the midst of Hell. 55 'By God', he said, 'you had almost ruined me. 56 But for my Lord's blessing, I were one of the arraigned. 57 “So are we never to die?” (The people of Paradise will ask the angels, with delight, after the announcement of everlasting life.) 58 Save our first death, and are we not to be tormented? 59 Lo! this is the supreme triumph. 60 For the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is this not a better reward than the tree of Zaqqum 62 Verily, We have caused it to be a trial for evildoers: 63 It is a tree that grows at the bottom of Hell. 64 its spathes are as the heads of Satans, 65 Truly, they will eat thereof and fill their bellies therewith. 66 Washing it down with boiling water. 67 then surely they shall return to Hell. 68 They found their father going astray 69 But they make haste (to follow) in their footsteps. 70 Most of the ancient people had also gone astray. 71 And We had already sent among them warners. 72 Observe, then, what was the end of those that had been warned, 73 EXCEPT for God's true servants, [most people are apt to go astray.] 74
