We also favoured Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered both of them and their people from the great calamity. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 For they were two of our believing Servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 Then they belied him, so verily they are to be brought up. 127 Except the bondmen of Allah sincere. 128 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 129 Peace be on Elias. 130 Thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 Verily, you pass by them in the morning. 137 and in the night; will you not understand? 138
