Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] scattering [dust] dispersing 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 and those speeding along with ease, 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 Verily, that which you are promised is true indeed, 5 The Judgement will indeed take place. 6 By heaven with all its tracks 7 Lo! ye, forsooth, are of various opinion (concerning the truth). 8 From which only he turns who is turned away. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Those who have forgotten in a state of intoxication. 11 They ask, "When will be the Day of Judgment and Justice?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 [And will be told], "Taste your torment. This is that for which you were impatient." 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 Taking joy in the things which their Lord gives them, because, before then, they lived a good life. 16 Little of the night would they slumber, 17 And in the hours before dawn, they were (found) asking (Allah) for forgiveness, 18 And the beggar and the destitute had a share in their wealth. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 and also in yourselves. Can you not see? 21 And in heaven is your provision, and that you are promised. 22 Then, by the Lord of the heaven and the earth, it is the truth (i.e. what has been promised to you), just as it is the truth that you can speak. 23
