The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In extending columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
