(Muhammad) say, "I am only a warner. The only Lord is God, the Almighty. 65 Lord of the heavens and earth and everything between them, the Almighty, the Most Forgiving." 66 Say: “This is a tiding of tremendous import 67 yet you ignore it. 68 I had no knowledge of the exalted assembly [of angels] when they were disputing [the creation of Adam]. 69 "Only this has been inspired to me, that I am a plain warner." 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 and when I have formed him fully and breathed into him of My spirit, fall you down before him in prostration!" 72 So the angels prostrated - all of them entirely. 73 save Iblis; he waxed proud, and was one of the unbelievers. 74 (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" 75 He said, "I am better than him. You have created me from fire and him out of clay". 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 Said he, 'My Lord, respite me till the day they shall be raised.' 79 He said: Lo! thou art of those reprieved 80 till the Day whose Hour I know.” 81 He said: Then, by Thy might, I surely will beguile them every one, 82 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 83 The Lord said, "I swear by the Truth - and I speak the Truth - 84 "That I will certainly fill Hell with thee and those that follow thee,- every one." 85 (O Prophet), tell them: “I do not ask you for any recompense for the performance of this task; nor am I given to affectation. 86 This [divine writ,] behold, is no less than a reminder to all the worlds — 87 and after a while you shall know its news' 88
