Muhammad (Muhammad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Those who disbelieve and hinder others from the way of Allah, He shall send their works astray. 1 And those who accepted faith and did good deeds and believed in what has been sent down upon Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him) – and that is the truth from their Lord – Allah has relieved them of some of their evils and refined their condition. 2 That is because those who disbelieved followed falsehood whereas those who believed followed the Truth that came to them from their Lord. Thus does Allah set forth to people parables showing their true state. 3 So when you meet those who disbelieve [in battle], strike [their] necks until, when you have inflicted slaughter upon them, then secure their bonds, and either [confer] favor afterwards or ransom [them] until the war lays down its burdens. That [is the command]. And if Allah had willed, He could have taken vengeance upon them [Himself], but [He ordered armed struggle] to test some of you by means of others. And those who are killed in the cause of Allah - never will He waste their deeds. 4 He will guide them and improve their condition. 5 and will admit them to Paradise with which He has acquainted them. 6 O believers, if you help God, He will help you, and confirm your feet. 7 And those who disbelieve, downfall shall be theirs, and He shall send astray their works. 8 That is because they have been averse to what God has sent down, so He has made their works to fail. 9 ۞ So did they not travel in the land to see what sort of fate befell those who preceded them? Allah poured ruin upon them; and for the disbelievers are several like it. 10 That is because Allah is patron of those who believe, and because the disbelievers have no patron. 11
