No, by the moon! 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 Warn the men. 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 except those of the right hand 39 In Gardens (Paradise) they will ask one another, 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who used to offer their Salat (prayers) 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 And we have been wading with the waders. 45 and rejected the Day of Judgment 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 WHAT, THEN, is amiss with them that they turn away from all admonition 49 as though they were terrified asses 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Is it that everyone of them wants to receive a heavenly book addressed to him personally? 52 Nay! but they do not fear the hereafter. 53 Nay! it is surely an admonition. 54 so whoever wills shall remember it. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
