Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
