The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers. 1 those who are humble in their prayer; 2 who avoid whatever is vain and frivolous; 3 And who are givers of poor-rate, 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except from their wives or those their right hands possess, for indeed, they will not be blamed - 6 And whosoever seeketh beyond that, then it is these who are the transgressors 7 and who preserve their trusts and their covenant 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These! they are the inheritors. 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And assuredly We created man of an extract of clay. 12 which was then turned into a living germ and placed in safe depository. 13 Then fashioned We the drop a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators! 14 After that, at length ye will die 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And certainly We made above you seven heavens; and never are We heedless of creation. 17 We have sent a measure of water from the sky to stay on earth and We have the power to take it away. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
