Blessed be He who, if He pleased, could give you better than that, -- gardens with rivers flowing by; and make palaces for you. 10 But they reject the hour, and We have prepared a burning fire for him who rejects the hour. 11 When it sees them from a far off place, they shall hear it raging and sighing. 12 And when they are flung into a narrow place thereof, chained together, they pray for destruction there. 13 (Then it will be said to them:) "Do not call for one death today, but call for many deaths." 14 Say: "Is that best, or the eternal garden, promised to the righteous? for them, that is a reward as well as a goal (of attainment). 15 Therein abiding, they have all that they desire. It is for thy Lord a promise that must be fulfilled. 16 On the Day when He gathers them with all that they worship, other than Allah, He will say: 'Was it you who misled My worshipers, or did they themselves go astray' 17 They will say; hallowed be Thou! it behoved us not that we should take beside Thee any patron, but Thou allowedest them and their fathers enjoyment until they forgat the admonition, and they were a people doomed. 18 Thus will your gods deny alI that you are professing today. Then you shall neither be able to repel your punishment nor shall get any help from anywhere; and whoso is guilty. of iniquity'' among you, We shall make him taste a severe torment. 19 And We never sent before you (O Muhammad SAW) any of the Messengers but verily, they ate food and walked in the markets. And We have made some of you as a trial for others: will you have patience? And your Lord is Ever All-Seer (of everything). 20
