And certainly We conferred a favor on Musa and Haroun. 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the clear Scripture 117 and showed them the Straight Way, 118 And left (their remembrance) for posterity. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 They are among Our faithful devotees. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people, "Will you not fear Allah? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of yore? 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except Allah's chosen servants. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be upon Ilyas! 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 [and so,] when [We decreed the doom of his sinful town,] We saved him and his household, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 and at night.
