And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 notwithstanding that they had been wont [to enjoy Our blessings and] to hew out dwellings from the mountains, [wherein they could live] in security 82 So the rumbling overtook them in the morning; 83 Therefore their earnings did not in the least benefit them. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 (Of a punishment) Like the one We sent down upon the dividers. 90 Those who break the Qur'an into parts. 91 By the Lord, We will hold them all responsible 92 As to what they did. 93 So declare to them what We have enjoined, and turn away from idolaters. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 Indeed, We know your chest is straitened by that they say. 97 So hallow thou the praise of thy Lord, and be thou of the prostrate. 98 and worship your Lord until the last moment (of your life) that will most certainly come. 99
