۞ And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourselves two deities. He is but one God, so fear only Me." 51 And whatever is in the heavens and the earth is His, and to Him should obedience be (rendered) constantly; will you then guard against other than (the punishment of) Allah? 52 Whatever blessing you have is from God, and to Him you turn for help when distress befalls you, 53 Yet when He removes the evil from you, lo! a party of you associate others with their Lord; 54 In the end you will reject Our bounties. Enjoy yourselves; you will soon know (the consequences of your deeds). 55 They set aside a portion of the food We have given them for those they do not know. By God, you will surely have to answer for all you contrive! 56 They attribute daughters to God, the glorious, but for themselves whatsoever they please. 57 When if one of them receiveth tidings of the birth of a female, his face remaineth darkened, and he is wroth inwardly. 58 With shame does he hide himself from his people, because of the bad news he has had! Shall he retain it on (sufferance and) contempt, or bury it in the dust? Ah! what an evil (choice) they decide on? 59 Those who do not believe in the Hereafter, for them only is the evil state; and the Majesty of Allah is Supreme; and He only is the Most Honourable, the Wise. 60
