The dead land is a sign for them. We revive it, and from it produce grain from which they eat. 33 And We have made therein gardens of date-palms and grapes, and We have caused springs of water to gush forth therein. 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands did not make it; will they not then be grateful? 35 Limitless in His glory is He who has created opposites in whatever the earth produces, and in men's own selves, and in that of which [as yet] they have no knowledge. 36 And there is a sign in the night for them. We strip off the day from it and they are left in darkness, 37 The sun runs to its fixed resting place; that is the decree of the Almighty, the Knower. 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 It is not for the sun to overtake the moon, nor doth the night outstrip the day. They float each in an orbit. 40 And a sign for them is that We carried their forefathers in a laden ship. 41 and created for them similar things to ride. 42 And if We will, We drown them, and there is no help for them, neither can they be saved; 43 Unless by mercy from Us, and as a comfort for a while. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 and whenever a revelation out of their Lord's revelations comes to them, they ignore it. 46 And when it is said to them: “Spend (in the Way of Allah) out of the sustenance that Allah has provided you,” the unbelievers say to the believers: “Shall we feed him whom, Allah would have fed, had He so wished?” Say: “You are in evident error.” 47 And they say, “When will this promise be fulfilled, if you are truthful?” 48 They await not but one shout, which shall lay hold of them while they are yet wrangling. 49 Then they will not be able to make bequest, nor they will return to their family. 50
