Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ WHEN THE SKY is cleft asunder, 1 And when the stars shall be scattered, 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 When the graves are overturned, 4 (Then) a person will know what he has sent forward and (what he has) left behind (of good or bad deeds). 5 O man! What has seduced thee from thy Lord Most Beneficent?- 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Even then you deny the Judgement. 9 Lo! there are above you guardians, 10 noble scribes, 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 But the wicked, indeed they shall be in the Fiery Furnace, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 What could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 17 Again, what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 18 (It will be) the Day when no soul shall have power (to do) aught for another: For the command, that Day, will be (wholly) with Allah. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
