Nay, and by the moon, 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Indeed, the Fire is of the greatest [afflictions] 35 It is a warning for mankind 36 whether one steps forward to embrace the faith or one turns away from it. 37 Every soul will be a pledge for that which it hath earned, 38 Except those on the Right, (i.e. the pious true believers of Islamic Monotheism); 39 who will be in Paradise 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 Nor did we feed the wretched. 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 "Until there came to us (the death) that is certain." 47 The intercession of the intercessors shall then be of no avail to them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 fleeing -- before a lion? 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 By no means. In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily, this (Quran) is an admonition, 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 But none will keep it in remembrance except as Allah wills: He is the Lord of Righteousness, and the Lord of Forgiveness. 56
