The Cheaters (Al-Mutaffifeen)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe unto the scrimpers: 1 those who demand a full measure from others 2 But if they measure unto them or weight for them, they cause them loss. 3 Do they not think they will be raised (to life) again 4 unto a mighty day 5 The day on which men shall stand before the Lord of the worlds? 6 No indeed, the Book of the immoral is in Sijjeen. 7 How will you comprehend what Sijjin is? 8 It is a written book. 9 Woe, on that day, to those who have rejected God's revelations 10 Those who belie the Day of Requital. 11 No one rejects it except the sinful transgressors 12 When Our verses are recited to him, he says, "Legends of the former peoples." 13 Not at all – but rather their earnings have heaped rust upon their hearts. 14 Indeed! On that Day a barrier will be set between them and their Lord, 15 and then, behold, they shall enter the blazing fire 16 and who will be told, "This is what you had called a lie". 17 However, the records of the deeds of the virtuous ones will certainly be in Illiyin. 18 And what will make you know what 'Illiyyun is? 19 It is a written book, 20 To which bear witness those brought nigh. 21 The virtuous will live in bliss, 22 resting on couches, looking around. 23 You shall see upon their faces the glow of bliss. 24 They will be served a drink of the finest sealed wine, 25 Whose seal is musk - for this let (all) those strive who strive for bliss - 26 and its mixture is Tasneem, 27 A fountain from which only they who are honoured drink. 28 Verily those who have sinned were wont at those who had believed to laugh, 29 And, when they passed them, to wink at each other, 30 And when they returned to their people, they would return jesting. 31 On seeing the believers, they would say, "These people have gone astray". 32 But they had not been sent as keepers over them! 33 This day it is those who believe who have the laugh of disbelievers, 34 On thrones, they will look. 35 The infidels have indeed been rewarded for that which they had been doing. 36
