The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the forenoon (after sun-rise); 1 and by the night when it darkens, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you, nor has He become displeased, 3 Indeed what is to come will be better for you than what has gone by. 4 soon you will be gratified with what your Lord will give you. 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 And find you lost (that is, unrecognized by men) and guide (them to you)? 7 And did He not find you in need and make you rich? 8 So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him]. 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 And as to the favour of thine Lord, discourse thou thereof. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
