Therefore, remind and preach (mankind, O Muhammad SAW of Islamic Monotheism). By the Grace of Allah, you are neither a soothsayer, nor a madman. 29 Or do they say: "[He is but] a poet - let us wait what time will do unto him"? 30 Proclaim, “Go on waiting – I too am waiting along with you.” 31 Do their minds prompt them to say such things, or are they a people immersed in transgression?” 32 Or say they: He hath invented it? Nay, but they will not believe! 33 Then let them bring a discourse like it, if they speak truly. 34 Have they been created from nothing or are they themselves their own creators? 35 Or is it they who created the heavens and the earth? No; the truth is that they lack sure faith. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Do they have a ladder (by which they can climb up to the heavens) and listen (to the angels) and come back to the rest of the people with clear authority? 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or, is the Unseen in their keeping, so they are writing it down? 41 Seek they to lay a plot? Then those who disbelieve it is they who shall be plotted against. 42 Do they have any god other than Allah? Exalted be Allah above whatever they associate (with Him in His Divinity). 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 So leave them till they encounter their Day in which they shall be thunderstruck. 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 And indeed for the unjust is another punishment before this, but most of them do not know. (Punishment in the grave is proven by this verse.) 47 And be patient under the Judgement of your Lord, surely, you are before Our Eyes. And exalt with the praise of your Lord when you arise, 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
