The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Exalt the name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who has created (all things) proportionately, 2 who determined and guided, 3 It is He who has caused the grass to grow, 4 And then makes it dark stubble. 5 We will make you recite, [O Muhammad], and you will not forget, 6 unless God wills it to be otherwise. He knows all that is made public and all that remains hidden. 7 We shall take you slowly towards ease. 8 So remind, if the reminder should benefit; 9 in mind will keep it he who stands in awe [of God,] 10 but the reprobates will turn away 11 even he who shall roast in the Great Fire, 12 In which they will then neither die nor live. 13 He is successful who groweth, 14 And who remembereth the name of his Lord, and then prayeth. 15 But you prefer the worldly life, 16 Whereas the Hereafter is better and everlasting. 17 Surely, this is in the ancient Scrolls, 18 The scriptures of Ibrahim and Musa. 19
