۞ God commands justice, kindness and giving their [due to] near relatives, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and transgression. He admonishes you so that you may take heed! 90 (He commands people) to keep their established covenants with God, not to disregard their firm oaths; they have already appointed God as their Guarantor. God certainly knows what you do. 91 And be not like her who unravels her yarn, disintegrating it into pieces after she has spun it strongly. You make your oaths to be means of deceit between you because (one) nation is more numerous than (another) nation. Allah only tries you by this; and He will most certainly make clear to you on the resurrection day that about which you differed. 92 If God had willed, He would have made you one nation; but He leads astray whom He will, and guides whom He will; and you will surely be questioned about the things you wrought. 93 And take not your oaths, to practise deception between yourselves, with the result that someone's foot may slip after it was firmly planted, and ye may have to taste the evil (consequences) of having hindered (men) from the Path of Allah, and a Mighty Wrath descend on you. 94 Do not sell God's covenant for a paltry price. What is with God is better for you if you only knew. 95 What you have shall pass away, but what is with God is lasting. We will certainly give those who are patient their reward according to the best of their actions. 96 We shall invest whosoever works for good, whether man or woman, with a pleasant life, and reward them in accordance with the best of what they have done. 97 When thou recitest the Koran, seek refuge in God from the accursed Satan; 98 Verily! He has no power over those who believe and put their trust only in their Lord (Allah). 99 He has authority over those who are guided by him, and those who ascribe associates to Him (Allah). 100
